There are always different things going on in the company and within this company there are opportunities to progress. The almshouses are reserved for local people in housing need, aged over 55, capable of independent living. The amount you do and the amount you can do with these people are great. The training is good though only refresher courses just to bear in mind - fine for some! Long hours with challenging behaviours which I enjoy anyway from clients, and then the management expect you to work shifts straight after. This is the perfect place to try a new , or simply and enjoy the stunning scenery. Thank you so much to all the lovely staff at Woodhayes. Nursing Home Woodhayes provides a home where older people can be helped to live as normally as possible and where the emphasis is on quality and enjoyment of life. Inadequate — the service is performing badly and we've taken enforcement action against the provider of the service. Medication given at 8am, it depends who is having a bath, personal care given, breakfast is given. Food is an important part of every day and our chefs spend time with residents, finding out their likes and dislikes. Please feel welcome to contact us for a chat; contact us initially via recruitment.

We are concerned by some of the issues you have mentioned and would be more than happy to discuss these with you. Management are obsessed with box ticking, often forcing clients to do things that staff know they have no interest or capacity to do. . Its original purpose, unchanged today, was to provide accommodation for people unable to remain in their own homes due to failing health or reduced circumstances. Many of them enjoy going out, joining in activities or just spending time with each other.

About us The Exeter Homes Trust, which changed its name when it assimilated the Lord Mamhead Homes in February 2013, was founded some 900 years ago. I have learned a lot about human behaviour due to the diversity of my service users and how agencies work for individuals to help them get to where they need or want to be. The most enjoyable part of the job was learning then achieving the different ways the clients communicate and getting to know them well. I have been employed by Brandon now for three years and have been offered continued professional development which I have chosen to engage in to develop my knowledge. This is reflected in its fascinating including its unique , free , magnificent , imposing Roman wall and beautiful. To celebrate the launch of the very first Exeter Festival, we are offering the chance to win a fantastic, festival break in Exeter. Little things like reading cards which arrive for Granny which you read with her make a huge difference to us, her family.

We work with other healthcare professionals to create a palliative approach which supports the person and their family. Ticks and crosses We don't rate every type of service. Regardless of how busy they must be, they are always welcoming and have a word. The staff offer highly skilled nursing care when necessary, and are proud to do so in an atmosphere where residents can feel they are still in charge of their own lives. About Woodhayes Woodhayes is set in the delightful St Leonard's district of Exeter and has a character all of its own. It consists of two large Victorian listed houses which have been converted into a single home offering residential and nursing care for 24 people, and its aim is to enable older people to live independent, happy and fulfilling lives. Lots of fun and games for the children with entertainers and of course classic music from the 80s.

I wrote a lesson plan and designs creative items to be made within the art sessions. The hardest part was the 15 hour shift's but worth the hard work and effort that myself and other co-workers put in, we were in the evening post and were also on Made in Bristol tv channel. This does not always seem to be appreciated by Team Leaders and Management. Your individual care, interest and support towards all the residents is so noticeable. Plus, there are options to extend your visit, if you feel you would like to stay with us longer, so you can take as long as you need to recuperate.

As a proud, dignified lady who had always wanted to remain in her own home, she was peaceful and content here and I will be forever grateful. Get in touch today and find out how we can help. My colleagues are friendly and always supportive as a team we are always looking for new exciting things to introduce in to the tenant's lives, we believe that nothing is impossible. There are regular visitors to the home which enjoys strong links with the local community and an active group of fund-raisers. The stock of charitable homes range from Victorian, Edwardian, mid-war, post-war and contemporary.
