With all the real issues suffered by returning soldiers, these hiccups were simply annoying. I love you, and I want us to be together. Grace was such a strong woman. I was so disappointed in this book, I struggled through thinking it must get better but had to give up at 50%. It just gives the whole story that little bit more sparkle.
And my favorite part … a town full of eccentric characters means that a ton of material to keep the good reads comin. A 100 years in the past. But her happily-ever-after is going to take some effort - because Jack has no memory of his family. This is my honest review. The characters of Madison Lane, Gage McBride, and Nell McBride were liked by the readers very much. I love seeing their relationship and how they complement each other so well. I definitely had some rage issued when he wouldn't listen about their son.
The room felt like it was closing in around her, and she opened the window. I gave this story 4 shiny Christmas stars. It just wasn't pleasant reading with all of them. If the server does not provide a quick download, then we remove it from the list. Christmas in July is a fun read for those who enjoy heartwarming romance. It has also received nominations for the Holt Medallion Merit Award.
In many ways I could sit down and pick this book apart, but I wont because I don't intend for this review to be long. She caught the stunned expression on his face and drew in a shuddered breath. All Jack Flaherty remembers about Christmas is that he couldn't wait to leave town. This is a new author for me, too, one I have to get used to her writing. Even as he struggles to rekindle the romance with his wife, he knows in his heart what he wants: a second chance at love. Grace had pretty much given up hope. Her MacLeod series has received several nominations for best paranormal as well as a Holt Medallion Award of Merit.
I am going to keep reading this series. The small town setting is realistically described, and the setting, combined with the characters, makes me want to go there for at least a visit, if not to live. I have three problems with this book. Summary: Grace Flaherty is giving up. What other releases so you have planned for 2014? I was not let down. Am I living the dream? This is a beautiful story that kept me enthralled from page one. There were so many problems between the two of them, Maria especially being one, as he still remembered her.
Every detail, big and small, reveals something about the story. A young couple is reunited after he returns home from military service. The book was drawn out and convulted after awhile, which disappointed me after a good start with solid characters. This is my opinion about this book. Here is my reaction to it: -The heroine is pretty weak and gets walked over by her husband, her best friend, the mean girl, and various townspeople. That same day she gets news her husband has been found and is on the way home.
I have been a stay at a home mom to four children for the last 23 years, and am currently living in Jupiter, Florida, where my husband is working on a project on the Atlantic Ocean beachfront. Where can readers get in touch with you? They have a lot to cope with both past and present complications. Grace had been under so much stress and pressure that on Jack's birthday she had finally decided it was time to move on with her life thinking he would never be found. And Jill was a huge bitch! Why did someone else's feelings matter over hers all the time? Mason seems to have a knack for giving her antagonists a hard time. Owner of the Sugar Plum Bakery, Grace is a strong, smart, self-aware woman who is determined to make a happy life for her and her young son.
Light read with a very serious theme that was dealt with wonderfully. And when her husband went missing, it got worse. Honorable to his core, Jack returns to Christmas. She will do anything to remind him of why he didn't want to be tied down and live in Christmas, Colorado. Also to anyone who enjoys a heartwarming, feel good story. I'm glad I did because there was another good twist at the endDid I really 'like' this story? The factors that really make the story shine are the writing style and storytelling of author Mason. I just loved this book.
He said they disagreed about discipline because he didn't think two year olds need it!!! Even as he struggles to rekindle the romance with his wife, he knows in his heart what he wants: a second chance at love. I could have done with a little less fighting between Grace and Jack but it all came together in the end. It made me very frustrated with him. The guilt of their last night together and the letter she wrote saying goodbye is eating her alive. I really liked the story line in this one.
Even as he struggles to rekindle the romance with his wife, he knows in his heart what he wants: a second chance at love. I can't wait for the next story in this series. The characters and situations are so realistic that it reads like a true story being told to you by a dear friend. This book keep me enthralled through out my reading because of the different dynamics between main character Grace and Jack, the antics of little Jack, and of course all the characters of Christmas, Colorado. Congress has decided something needs to be done about it because we have too many soldiers out there that are dealing with this. The only thing that Jack remembers is the time when he was about to join the military and could not wait to leave. Hi memories are of the town and never wanting to live there again.
